for the rice can you substitute pineapple juice instead of water? the cocomut rice thanx
For the coconut rice you could probably substitute with pineapple juice. Although I’ve not tried it, but it sounds delicious. Let me know how it turns out.
After attending a PCC class w/my youngest daughter, I’ve followed your Facebook posts/blogs and tried so many wonderful recipes–thank you for sharing! One question… many months ago, you posted a link to another chef/baker who had tips on baking cookies. I can’t find this post, and I’m wondering if you’d repost when you get a chance. Thanks very much… enjoy the season!
Hi Tricia, I’m so happy you like the blog and recipes. Completely makes me smile!!
My two fave baking blogs are Pastry Craft Seattle http://www.pastrycraftseattle.com/blog/2010/12/22/holiday-cookies/ Chef Laurie Pfalzer is an amazing pastry chef and I’ve attached her cookie making post.
The next one is Pink Patisserie. Lots of fabulous recipes and a current recipe on holiday sugar cookies. http://pinkpatisserie.blogspot.com/
I hope this helps and thank you again for following my blog. Wishing you the happiest of holidays, Karista
i’ve nominated you for the sunshine award. hop that’s ok! mimi

Hi Mimi! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. I so appreciate it. I’m terribly not tech savvy which is why I’ve never been able to plug in the award buttons on my blog LOL! Loved your post Mimi, and I love your food!
How do you get to the recipes? they look so delicious. Thanks
Hi Karen, There should be a print option unde the “share this” area just after the post and recipe. It will print the entire post plus recipe unfortunately. However, you can just highlight the recipe and then print, or copy the recipe and paste into a word doc. Hope this helps. Karista
